"We stayed at Hotel Alda back in 2022 and enjoyed it so much that we came back again in 2025. It's such a delightful boutique hotel with a terrific staff. We had a small problem with our TV set and the staff upgraded us to the same suite-type room that we stayed in before with a great look out at the wonderful view of Reykjavik. Alda is really convenient to the bus station as well as all the stores/restaurants. It also just feels cozy with couches in the lobby and the Brass restaurant...

"Check in was quick and efficient. The board of event was super helpful, and I wish we were there longer to be able to attend. The lobby had a variety of games and seating. "The property was in a good location. It wasn't too far from town. We were able to store our luggage with no issues after a very early flight into Reykjavik. My code wasn't working at first, but it was simple to contact the hotel and resolution was immediate. The only complaint is there was no a/c unit (which I know it normal in Europe)... however, the room was VERY warm when we arrived. We were able to open the window which fixed that issue but it wouldn't stay propped open so we had to rig it a...

"Me and my husband spent 6 nights at this hotel and we had a great time. The hotel is in the city centre: it is very easy to reach lots of bus stops from there. The rooms are quite big, warm and cleaned every time you ask for. Breakfast is nice, I would suggest it should start at 6.00 am and not 7.00, as many tours start at 7.00. Anyway, they allow you to have a very early breakfast if you ask for, with croissants and hot drinks. It was a really nice stay!"

"The hotel staff was excellent! They were friendly, allowed us to store luggage, and answered annoying tourist questions. The one thing I did not like is that the main door to the apartment building slammed. It was LOUD and woke me up. I asked that they fixed it, and they promptly placed a sign on the door asking people to gently close the door, but didn’t fix it during our two day stay.
