"The Slate was a beautiful place to stay. My boyfriend proposed at Black Ginger and it was such a romantic setting. Our rooms were comfortable on the resort, staff was extremely attentive. Also, the food blew me away. I didn’t expect too much since it’s a resort. But the food was phenomenal. Especially the breakfast buffet. There was actual quality food. I have never seen a hotel have access to such fresh fruit, flax seeds, goji berries, walnuts, etc. My boyfriend enjoyed the smoked mackerel for breakfast daily. The pools were beautiful. Our room was reasonably quiet. There were some loud people above us but I was able to drown out the sound pretty well. Honestly it couldn’t have been a better stay!"

"This resort was the absolute highlight of our Phuket trip. If you want to be in a quiet, relaxing resort bubble, this is your place. Such friendly, helpful staff, stunning rooms, stunning pool and beautiful surrounding gardens and trees. The breakfast buffet was a pretty decent price and mix of both western and Thai food. Located just 10 minutes from the airport, but no airport noise, so very convenient to get to after a long flight. It’s in a quiet area that’s got some restaurants, shops and cafes just accross the small river. The area is a bit far away from most attractions though, so I’d suggest staying there for half your trip then moving to a busier area if you’d like to be closer to the action. We had the pool access suite and I couldn’t recommend it more highly. The room was very affordable, beautiful and spacious. It was particularly glorious laying on the sunbeds on our little deck and slipping in and out of the pool whenever we pleased. We enjoyed it so much we went back on our final day. The rooms are very clean, the gardens are well maintained. My only criticism is that the pool needs a serious clean where the sunbeds in the pool are. There was thick, green algae on the steps and sunbeds. It was also very slippery and my partner fell over walking on it. The rest of the experience was flawless though which is why I’m still rating 5 stars overall. We had such an amazing experience and we hope to come back one day! Highly recommend!"

"I had a wonderful 1 night stay at Chez Charly during Songkran. The place is very close to the airport, and it’s a nice 1 mile walk to Naiyang beach. Chez Charly is bright and beautiful and full of greenery. So lovely to wake up to! And the hosts are absolute gems. So accommodating! I would definitely stay here again. :D P.S. I highly recommend the upstairs room with the balcony. ^-^"

"We booked this resort for two nights as convenient to the airport. Beautiful spacious rooms overlooking one of the pools. The sheets were clean and quality and the bathroom just perfect with added accessories like shampoo etc. I loved that there was plenty of space to put your toiletries. Lovely tropical grounds with beautiful plants and trees. Staff were outstanding and went over and beyond for us. The Sands restaurant out front had very nice local food… the Pad Thai was superb! Very reasonable prices too! My pad Thai with prawns and a fried egg was only 120 baht. Airport transfer only took about 10 -15 minutes and cost us 100 baht each. Lots of excellent street food, dining options on the beach and your usual massage, clothes market stands right outside the entrance "
