Had a wonderful time at this excellent hotel. Wonderful and helpful staff, excellent amenities good food and panoramic view of the beautiful Kandy made gave us wonderful stay. Top floor with a swimming pool and a bar is an ideal place to watch arriving flocks after flocks of white birds, mostly Egrets.

Excellent location with easy walk to Kandy Lake and Tooth Temple. Staff were very courteous and professional. Room was very clean, modern design and breakfast buffet was of high quality and plenty of choices. Great value for the stay. We had a fantastic view of the lake and city from our balcony.

Dining in is difficult everyday at least two large tourist coaches - so meals are not relaxed and intimate. The pool is tiny. Watch out for the musicians upstairs and getting locked in to tips. Otherwise staff were friendly, polite and helpful.

Breakfast was excellent; dined one night at the bar beside the pool and the fried vegetarian wraps were delicious. Pool was clean and so refreshing. Easy to walk into the city for eating options. In many ways, a standard business hotel--but one in an exotic and interesting location. My room was fine, but the views of the lake and the hills/mountains opposite were really nice. Just be sure to keep your sliding doors locked: there really are monkeys and they really can get onto your balcony -- even though that looks impossible at first! I originally booked a three night stay, which I ended up extending a couple days. The general manager and staff worked hard to keep me in the same room and set up a day tour to Sigiriya and Dambulla (and I added an elephant safari). I'm sure I paid a bit more by going through the hotel, but the driver/guide they found me was excellent. The hotel has some good eating options and there is an excellent pizza place just a bit further up the hill. The location is great: a short walk down to the lake and maybe 15 minutes further into the city center, an enjoyable lakeside hike. Overall, a very solid choice in Kandy.

The staff were lovely. But the cleanliness was awful. The room was dusty and sticky and there was even a false nail the floor. Needs a refurb. The smelt musty and the carpet in the corridor was filthy with scuffs all over the walls. Not a 5* more like a basic travel lodge in the uk.

It was our first stay in Sri Lanka, but I must say, charging for extra bottles of water … that’s not acceptable anymore, c’mon! Food was ok, I would rate 3.5 out of 5, service of the staff were also ok! Overall, I think they still have a lot of room for improvement
